Iran bakery banner conveys health message

A bakery in the Iranian capital city of Tehran puts up a banner that gives health advice to customers.

In a bid to promote healthy eating habits, a bakery in the Iranian capital city of Tehran has put up a banner that gives health advice to customers.

The banner, which is placed outside the bakery, reads, "Hot bread + plastic bag = cancer. Our income is less important than your health. Get one loaf of free bread with" reusable cloth containers.

Despite the traditional and more environmentally friendly practice of wrapping tablecloths around purchased bread in Iran, the usage of plastic bags to carry bread has increased in recent years.

The message on the banner is in line with sustainable shopping that encourages healthier lifestyles.

Iran has been working to combat obesity and other chronic health problems by implementing policies such as limiting junk food in schools and reducing salt consumption in food products.

The bakery's owner did his part as a responsible citizen and it is time for his customers to do their social share.

Let us know in the comments, what you think about this progressive move.
